With the big fix done and the gaslighting in full effect, it seems that the left is again going to the well a time or ten too many.
It’s only February, just a month and change since Joe Biden was inaugurated as America’s 46th President, and many congressional Democrats are already framing a narrative that he’s mentally unfit for office.
Too soon, folks.
Your strategy to install VP Kamala Harris as POTUS requires a light hand and at least a modicum of patience, here.
But, alas!
A new letter signed by 36 House Democrats is formally asking Biden to give up control of the Nuclear Codes™ (which aren’t actually a thing, making the whole narrative even sillier from a tactical perspective).
Of course, we all know why. After all, this was never an issue before – at least not with a sitting Democratic President.
But these pols, even in their haste, can’t completely throw Dementia Joe under the bus just yet.
Instead, their request is being framed as a logical and rational move – one that is, as you might expect, ultimately used to foist ever more blame on former President Donald Trump.
Per Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA):
“Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks. Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.”
The correct strategy, of course, is to keep Biden on for a year or so with limited scripted and edited virtual appearances, then have him gracefully exit.
And it goes without saying that during that time nothing should be done publicly to underscore or reinforce the Republican and rightwing media assertions – heretofore “fact checked” into oblivion and deemed to be “conspiracy theories” – that this sick guy is actually as dying as advertised.
Remember, until November 6, 2020, there was no evidence of any cognitive decline on Joe Biden’s part, and if you posited the very idea, you were a radical and a bigot.
That narrative needs to continue for another year, at least.
If Biden is deemed completely gone before that, knowing what we know about the various brain diseases and their timelines of progression, people will realize they’ve been relentlessly lied to.
At any rate, one group that always saw through the charade was – as usual – the political bettors.
Gamblers at the top online Vegas election betting sites have been putting money on Biden’s chances to make it through his first term since before that term even started.
Further, Kamala Harris odds have been up for just as long, with bettors wagering on the year that the Vice President will take over for her “boss” (which has already started in an unofficial capacity).

Amusingly, BetOnline also had Joe Biden impeachment odds up as recently as a few weeks ago, but those have been taken down.
As guilty as sin as Biden is re the Burisma scandal – and despite the many obvious unethical conflicts of interest he’s steered through his family’s financial coffers over the years – the guy just isn’t likely to need impeachment (or even the threat of impeachment) to send him packing.
Besides, that would be a self-inflicted injury for the left. Biden must remain a besainted and holy figure on his side of the aisle.
And, it should be noted, many Democrats do actually seem to prefer waiting.
But there’s a problem with that, too: The stubborn old idiot may not actually be able to help himself help them.

Earlier this week, Biden had a similar lapse in everything when he accidentally dropped the N-bomb on live TV while trying to utter some other phrase that also made no sense to begin with.
