Move Fast To Bet On These Joe Biden State Of The Union Odds

joe biden state of the union 2022

Are you ready for another pointless State of the Union address delivered by a doddering old idiot who doesn’t know where he is or what time it is?

Well, technically, this is only the first SOTU for “President” Joe Biden, since new Oval Office occupants – whether they’re legitimate or not – technically don’t deliver a State of the Union address in their first year after “election.” Instead, that speech is officially classified as an address to a Joint Session of Congress.

We can think of better “joint sessions,” frankly.

But before we do that, we’re going to take a sober (if not sobering) look at all the State of the Union betting odds available at the best online Vegas election betting sites.

These were just posted today, and they’ll be down a bit before 9:00 PM EST, when Joseph Robinette is scheduled to take the stage hold onto the podium.

Joe Biden Approval Rating on March 6, 2022

  • Over 41 % -115
  • Under 41 % -115

Joe Biden closed out the month of February with an approval rating under 41 (the lowest rating on the board).

With roughly 64% of respondents grading Biden’s performance on the Russia-Ukraine dustup as fair (15%) to poor (49%), the guy doesn’t have too much wiggle room for his public response to the event.

And since this is sure to be the theme of the speech in general, he better be firing on all remaining cylinders if he hopes to bump that rating up past where it sits today.

2022 State Of The Union Designated Survivor

  • Merrick Garland +700

  • Avril Haines +1000
  • Gina Raimondo +1000
  • Lloyd Austin +1000

  • Pete Buttigieg +2500
  • Ron Klain +2500
  • Kamala Harris +5000
  • Nancy Pelosi +5000

The “Designated Survivor” is a silly relic of the past whereby a President delivering his SOTU speech to a roomful of people in the direct line of Presidential succession is paranoid about a Guy Fawkes-style gunpowder treason plot.

Thus, a cherry-picked crony is spirited away to some off-site stronghold far from the Capitol just in case all their colleagues get rekt by a truckload of fertilizer or something.

Now, that’s all stupid enough, but a thought presents itself:

Why isn’t the Vice President just automatically the “Designated Survivor”? 364 days a year, that’s their literal job description. It’s why there’s an Air Force Two, for crying out loud.

Idiots.

First To Be Mentioned In Biden SOTU Speech

  • Speaker of the House -1000
  • Members of Congress +900
  • Fellow Americans +1000
  • Vice President +1200
  • First Lady +2500
  • Senate Majority Leader +2500

In 2016, Barry Soetoro’s final SOTU speech started thus:

“Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, my fellow Americans.”

In 2020, The Donald’s final SOTU speech began similarly:

“Madam Speaker, Mr. Vice President, members of Congress, the First Lady of the United States and my fellow citizens…”

We dug up about a dozen more and they all follow that same model. It’s basically a form letter. Which, you know, isn’t terribly surprising. They are politicians, after all. If Trump didn’t change it up, there’s no way Biden will.

Bet the farm on the favorite.

Length of 2022 State Of The Union Address

  • Under 65 minutes -120
  • Over 65 minutes -110

A year ago, Biden’s address to the Joint Session of Congress lasted “around 65 minutes,” and Dementia Joe’s a year older.

Take the under.

What Will Biden Say First? – CDC or Mask

  • CDC -140
  • Mask +100

CDC probably.

Of course, he might accidentally call it the DCD or DDC or CCD or DCC or something like that. But we think it’s the intent that counts, so take Big Disease™ at -140.

Big Fashion™ is sooo last week.

What Will Biden Say First? – Coronavirus or Pandemic?

  • Pandemic -300
  • Coronavirus +200

“Coronavirus pandemic.”

What Will Biden Say First – Economy or Inflation?

  • Economy -600
  • Inflation +375

Either way, you just know he’s going to brag about these things.

“Strongest economy in years” or some such nonsense.

To Say First – Europe or EU/European Union?

  • Europe -300
  • European Union +200

These days, the European Union matters more to the globalists than the “outdated concept” of Europe does. The latter can never receive top billing over the former ever again.

Take the underdog.

To Say First – NATO or Nuclear?

  • NATO -200
  • Nuclear +150

The favorite seems about right. Uncle Stutters has probably been warned away from attempting to pronounce “nuclear.”

To Say First – Primary or Mid-Term

  • Primary/Primaries -135
  • Mid-Term/Mid-Terms -105

“Midterms” for sure. (And come on, BOL. There’s no hyphen in that.)

To Say First – Putin or Zelensky?

  • Putin -250
  • Zelensky +170

Putin, naturally. The bogeyman always comes first.

To Say First – Russia or Ukraine?

  • Ukraine -200
  • Russia +160

Ukraine. The “victim” must always be addressed at the outset. That’s Propaganda 101.

Total Viewers

  • Under 35 million -150
  • Over 35 million +110

They say Joe Biden received more than 81 million votes. They say he’s the most popular President of all time. They say there’s a “war” going on right now between a dear, dear ally and America’s number-one enemy of all time.

And, of course, people are tuned in to politics more than ever.

That’s probably why the O/U on viewers of Biden’s 2022 State of the Union speech is nearly 11 million off Trump’s 2019 totals and more than two million off his 2020 speech (which, it should be noted, came at the height of media blackouts and general anti-Trump hysteria in the midst of the Chinese flu everyone on TV blamed him for).

Take the over. They’ll fudge the numbers.
