Vegas Oddsmakers Raise Trump’s 2020 Election Odds To New High

What happens in the presidential election, stays in American history books forever.

And according to the latest Vegas betting odds for the 2020 presidential election, the sportsbooks are predicting President Donald J. Trump will win a second term in the White House on Tues., Nov. 3, 2020.

The Trump reelection odds from Las Vegas sportsbooks have listed the Republican incumbent as the favorite since January 2019.

Bovada Sportsbook opened Trump at +150 odds, which means a $100 bet would win $150 if the POTUS wins again in 2020. When converted to an implied probability, his chances were roughly 40% about 13 months ago.

Now, with only 10 months until the general election, Trump is not only the betting favorite, but no other Democrat comes even remotely close at any of the top-reviewed Vegas online sportsbooks.

Trump currently has -150 odds of winning, meaning a $150 bet would win $100 if he continues to stumping his political opponents. With those betting odds, Trump’s chances of winning are now approximately 60%.

To put in perspective the massive gap between Trump and the Democrats’ odds, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is next on the board at +425, paying out $450 from an initial $100 wager.

After converting to an implied probability, Sanders 2020 betting odds indicate he only has roughly a 19.05% chance to become the next President of the United States at this point in the race—a far cry from the 60% chance that Trump currently boasts.

The record-setting reelection odds from Trump reflect what may go down as the best week for him during the first term.

From the Democrats causing a catastrophe with the results from the Iowa Caucus to Trump’s well-received State of the Union address to his all-time job approval rating to the Senate voting to acquit the President to end the impeachment trial, it should be no surprise to see why Trump’s chances from the Vegas oddsmakers have never looked better.

Below you can find the complete odds board for the 2020 election. Anything can happen from now until November, but if 2016 taught us anything, it’s that betting against Trump is anything but safe.
