Vegas Sportsbooks Back Trump After Obama Endorses Biden

The Democrats are officially going all-in after putting every chip on Joe Biden, but will it be enough to stump President Donald Trump?

“No dice,” say the Las Vegas oddsmakers accepting bets on the 2020 general election.

According to the newest Vegas election odds for the presidency, Trump remains favored by significant margin over Biden.

Vegas Election Odds 2020

From Bovada

  • Donald Trump -125
  • Joe Biden +125
  • Andrew Cuomo +3300
  • Hillary Clinton +5000
  • Mike Pence +5000
  • Nikki Haley +15000
  • Michelle Obama +20000

Vegas Still Backs Trump

Trump’s favored odds of winning reelection are listed at -125, indicating the sitting President has a 56% chance to win a second term, based on the implied probability of the bet.

The President rolled out his “Opening Up America Again” plan on Thursday, but whether it’ll continue to slow the spread of the coronavirus and recover the economy remains to be seen.

Nevertheless, a $125 wager on the GOP incumbent would payout $100 on Nov. 3 if Trump reaches 270 electoral votes on Election Night 2020.

The betting odds for Biden indicate he is the clear underdog. Bovada lists the former VP at +125, meaning he has a 44% chance of pulling off the upset.

There is substantially more value if you wager that Biden beats Trump. Since it’s less likely to occur based on the oddsmakers’ perceived White House chances for both candidates, a $100 bet on Biden would payout $125 if he’s elected as the 46th President of the United States.

Obama Finally Endorses Biden

Many of the Democrats who’ve dropped out have already endorsed Biden due to the #VoteBlueNoMatterWho blood oath each of the candidates made to appease the Twitter tribes before the primary.

Rival Sen. Bernie Sanders made his endorsement soon after dropping out, but an old boss friend of the former VP had yet to say anything—which meant the rumor mills had to start working overtime.

Earlier this week, former President Barack Obama finally publicly endorsed Joe Biden, his Vice Presidential running mate during his eight years in the White House, for the 2020 election against sitting President Donald Trump.

Although Obama’s endorsement hasn’t had much of an impact in the eyes of bettors, there are still 200 days to go until Election Day and anything could from now until then.

However, as we pass the midway point in April, the Vegas oddsmakers at Bovada sportsbook have made it clear Trump is the favorite against Biden. Below you can find all of the Vegas 2020 election live props and futures that are currently receiving action.
